DELI ASSOCIATES, AM & PM, FT & PT
24-40 hours per week
A perfect job for anyone who loves food, entry-level or experienced! Our Deli Associates help our customers at the deli counter and the meat counter, making sandwiches,wrapping steaks, doing light prep work, and serving creamees! Get to know our customers and their favorite food! Work part-time or full-time, mornings or evenings. One weekend shift is absolutely required.
Shifts are generally 8am to 4pm or 2pm to 9pm but other hours could potentially work to accommodate family, school, etc. Two to five shifts per week: your choice. Benefits include 20% discount on all store purchases, paid vacation, paid sick time, wellness expense reimbursement plan (yoga! messages! vitamins and plenty more reimbursed!). Pay is negotiable based on experience and performance.

FOOD PREP......20 - 40 hours per week
Well, we sell food. And someone needs to make it, and make it taste good. Could that be you? Our food prep folks follow recipes and design new dishes from surprise ingredients re-routed from the produce and meat departments. Food prep folks also provide backup coverage to the deli and meat dept, serving customers and answering questions with a smile. We do most of our own prep (i.e. cutting potatoes, peeling carrots, boiling eggs) because we like our food natural. If you believe in this kind of cooking, have worked in a professional kitchen, and do NOT want to answer to a ticket printer or work nights anymore, COME JOIN US!! We are hiring for both entry level and advanced levels. Shifts are 7am - 3pm, 9am to 5pm or 11am to 7pm. In the past, we have even had someone work 4am to noon. We are flexible!

ASSISTANT BUYER................................ 40 hours per week
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who LOVES to shop, LOVES good food, and LOVES paying attention to detail. Our master buyer who has been merchandising and and buying for decades is looking for someone who wants to learn the fine art of food retail by her side.
Responsibilities include creating purchase orders for small vendors and large distributors, establishing ideal inventory levels, managing a purchasing budget, receiving orders and verifying accuracy, stocking, keeping shelves looking abundant and merchandising to create an ideal shopping experience.
The schedule is pretty routine with hours from 7 to 3 or 9 to 5 with flex time possible. One weekend day is required. Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly including the use of step stools, lifting above one's head, and time spent in temperatures less than 10 degrees. Extensive use of computers at a desk is balanced with lots of time on the floor talking to customers and making the store look beautiful.

JANE / JACK OF ALL TRADES (FLEX STAFF)............ 24 - 40 hours per week
ACCEPTING LONG TERM APPLICANTS ONLY
A great job for the person who loves variety at work! The Jane/Jack of All Trades position fills empty shifts of entry-level jobs in every department at Sweet Clover Market such as Deli Associate, Customer Care Associate (cashier), Produce Associate, MOD (Manager-on-Duty), Prep Cook and Dishwasher. Training is extensive. Generally shifts are scheduled in advance to cover vacations and staff turnover. Only some shifts are on call: you will usually know when you are working way ahead of time. There is a minimum 16 hours per week of regularly scheduled shifts, then we add another 1 to 3 shifts based on need throughout the store. Shifts are generally 7:30a - 3:30p or 1p to 9p or 6p to 10p. Daytimes, weekends and weekday evenings are absolutely required. A minimum one year commitment is required. Please describe in your cover letter how the schedule for this position works well with your other commitments.
